| The Cult Movie Network is dedicated to providing unique movies that have an extremely devoted following. These strange and unusual films are categorized as ‘cult movies’ for a reason. The intensity and vigor of the support and attention that our following invest in this genre of film, is unparalleled in television entertainment. This ‘cult following’ attitude can be likened to the reaction to a dark roasted coffee. The full flavor might not be for everyone, but those who enjoy it, enjoy it very much. The Cult Movie Network’s mandate is to satisfy the acquired taste of our distinct cult movie fanatics. To be an acclaimed cult film has nothing to do with box office performance, critical reviews, or bigger then life Hollywood visual effects. Aside from an infectious fan base, the cult film is often measured by its continued popularity in DVD sales and rentals, long after other popular films of the day have lost their steam. For the average mainstream movie buff, it can be difficult to determine why a movie becomes a cult film. In some cases, the lack of technical prowess or traditional production value is what drives a film’s popularity. This satirical production value is considered absolutely hysterical, or loved for being odd. In other words it wins audiences by being so weird that it is actually enjoyed. The Cult Movie Network’s target audience belongs to the underground entertainment scene and generally fall between the ages of 18-35. |
